The course “Food and Beverage Operations” is designed for the cluster of “Hospitality Service” under the “Service” area of studies of Applied Learning subjects. This course aims to enhance students’ career-related competencies in the field of Food and Beverage Services.
The objectives of Food and Beverage Operations fulfill the strategic goals of Applied Learning by providing students with the fundamental theories and concepts of food and beverage preparation with an emphasis on application and practice; developing students’ attitude and generic skills such as problem-solving and decision-making skills to aid planning, diagnosing, assessing, evaluating and trouble-shooting which can be transferred to other areas of learning or new environments; and providing students with opportunities to explore their career aspiration in the field of food and beverage services.
