This course aims to enhance senior secondary students with the basic understanding of the foundation knowledge of child development and identify the developmental characteristics of children aged 0-8. Based on the understanding towards children’s developmental characteristics and their individual differences, students learn to design play-based activities for young children. Through different learning activities, students are given opportunities to develop creativity, communication skills and team spirit, cultivate positive values and attitudes, and explore interests and potentials in early childhood education.
